Determining the exact cost of a website is not straightforward since it varies based on several factors. Factors such as number of pages, desired functionality, and the need for special features impact the final price. To provide an accurate quote, we’ll work closely with you to understand your specific requirements and tailor a website package that aligns with your budget and objectives. Our goal is to offer you a transparent and fair pricing structure that reflects the value and quality of the website you envision.

There are four steps:

  1. Discovery

During the this phase, I will send you a pre-build questionnaire that will need to be completed. Once this has been submitted, I will review the responses and put together the sitemap and initial design concept.

2. Development

When the go-ahead is given on the visual designs, development will commence. I will build the homepage and send it to you for approval and any revisions. Once the homepage is approved, I will continue building the remainder of the website. The finished website will be sent to you again for final rounds of revision. Once signed off, we’ll move to the testing phase.

3. Testing

Website will be tested to ensure it is mobile responsive and works across all modern web browsers. The website will be sent to you for approval/revisions. Any changes requested will be made.

4. Launch

Once the website has been approved the website will be launched. There will be post-launch testing and optimization to ensure the website is functioning as it should.

A typical website build usually takes around 4-6 weeks, but the project timeline is flexible and determined by you, the client. Factors such as how promptly website content is provided, how fast we receive feedback, and complexity of the website determine the speed of completion. We will work closely with you to ensure a smooth and efficient process, aiming to deliver a website that meets your specific needs within the agreed-upon timeframe.

We typically require half of the project cost upfront and then the rest on completion of the project. We know that this is a big investment for your business so we can offer different arrangements to meet your needs and budget.

We ask that customers provide the content for their website because they know their business/organization best. By providing their own content, customers can ensure that the information is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with their specific goals and values. Should you need help with it, I can recommend some copywriters who can assist you for an additional fee.

WordPress is a content management system (CMS) that allows users to create, edit, and organize website content without requiring technical expertise or coding knowledge. It powers more than 40% of websites on the internet today. We utilize it because it provides a wide range of themes, templates and plug-ins that can be customized to give the website a unique look and feel.

A website domain is the unique address for your website. You can purchase a domain name from various domain registrars and web hosting companies, such as NameCheap, Google, and BlueHost. A domain needs to be renewed periodically so it’s important to renew it on time so you don’t lose your domain name.

Website hosting provides a space on powerful computers known as servers, where your website files are stored and made accessible to anyone who wants to visit your website. Choosing a reliable website hosting service ensures that your site is available 24/7, ensuring smooth and consistent access for your visitors.

A SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Certificate is a security feature that establishes an encrypted and secure connection between a user’s web browser and a website’s server. It protects data from potential eavesdropping or unauthorized access. (If a website has an SSL you will notice a padlock icon to the left of the website address.) A SSL is essential for any website handling sensitive information to safeguard both the user’s privacy and the website owner’s reputation.

Website accessibility means designing websites to be inclusive and usable for all, including people with disabilities. It involves features like clear content, keyboard navigation, and compatibility with assistive technologies. Prioritizing accessibility creates a more inclusive online environment, reaching a broader audience and providing equal opportunities for all users to engage with the website’s content and services.

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is a set of practices used to improve a website’s visibility and ranking on search engines like Google. By optimizing various elements on the website, such as content, keywords, and links, SEO helps search engines understand what the site is about and how relevant it is to users’ search queries. The ultimate goal is to appear higher in search results, making it easier for people to find the website when they search for related topics. Good SEO practices can increase organic (non-paid) traffic to a website and attract more visitors, potentially leading to more business opportunities and a stronger online presence.

Mobile responsiveness refers to the design and development of a website so that it adapts and displays properly on various devices, including smartphones and tablets. This means that visitors can easily navigate and interact with the website’s content without having to zoom in or scroll excessively. Having a mobile-responsive website is essential in today’s digital landscape, as it ensures that your site is accessible and visually appealing to a wide range of users, ultimately leading to improved user satisfaction and engagement.

Website maintenance is essential to keep your website running smoothly and up-to-date. Just like any other software or technology, websites require regular attention to ensure they function correctly and securely. Maintenance involves tasks like updating software, fixing bugs, checking for broken links, and backing up data to prevent data loss. Regular maintenance helps to optimize website performance, improve loading speed, and enhance user experience. By investing in website maintenance, you ensure that your site remains reliable, secure, and appealing to visitors, fostering a positive online presence and encouraging repeat visits.
