Hello, I’m Sam.
As a stay-at-home parent turned web developer, I’m here to make your life easier. I specialize in crafting user-friendly websites for busy business owners like you.
In late 2020, I started on my web development journey, driven by the all the extra free time I had due to the pandemic. Determined to make the most of it, I dove into the world of coding, starting with HTML and CSS. As my curiosity grew, I explored other programming languages such as SQL and Python. While coding fascinated me, I was uncertain about its practical applications. That was until I stumbled upon GeekPack, a program designed to empower women with technical and entrepreneurial skills. I attended some of their free events and I was hooked, I had finally discovered what I wanted to do with my coding skills.
I started the program, worked through the course, and decided to start my own business. First up, what do you think I should call it? Because I was doing this to make money while still caring for my daughter, I looked to her for inspiration. I found it in this:
This is Squishy and he is my daughter’s favorite toy. She’s carried him around with her everywhere and if you know her, you know about Squishy. What better way to honor her and have a great ice breaker all in one.
Beyond coding, I’m a craft enthusiast (knitting and crocheting) and a word puzzle junkie. Sci-fi and horror books are my go-to escape, and I even hold a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
